She accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at the age of fifteen. Although writing had always been a hobby, it wasn’t until much later in life that she embraced her passion to be her calling as well. In her first book, “The Seasons of Solomon,” she takes readers on an adventure through a twenty-five year old unsolved murder case. The twists and turns take Detective Solomon Phelps on a journey, and you can go along for the ride. This is the first story of more to come from Terry. It is Terry’s hope that readers will be encouraged to seek the Lord Jesus for themselves and in doing so, discover the true calling for which they were created. Further, she hopes they will seek God for the guidance to take them all the way through.

“The Seasons of Solomon” is the story of one man’s journey from the impoverished streets of Detroit Michigan to the inevitable answering of his call to the pulpit. Solomon Phelps was raised by his maternal grandmother; she had always instilled in him Christian values. Ernestine Phelps knew in her spirit that Solomon would be a great preacher someday.
As a child, Solomon aspired to be a police officer. He would hear God’s call for himself by the age of thirteen. Years later while serving as a cold-case detective, Solomon encounters an unsolved murder that proves a family member to be a suspect. It is at this season in his life that Solomon realizes that sometimes seasons change, while at other times they collide.
“The Seasons of Solomon” is a captivating novel that tells the story of Solomon Phelps, a multifaceted character whose life unfolds in Detroit over several decades. The narrative follows the different phases or “seasons” of Solomon’s life, marked by distinct challenges and personal growth.
The story begins with Solomon as a young boy, growing up alongside his close friend Otis. Together, they stumble upon a dark secret related to the disappearance of Amelia Williams, which continues to haunt them as they grow older. As Solomon matures, he embarks on a career in law enforcement, becoming a dedicated detective. However, his path takes an unexpected turn when he decides to become a pastor, eventually leading a congregation at the House of Praise Christian Ministries.
